So here’s the deal. Got into photography as a hobby years ago when my son was born. Got some amazing shots of him with a used D70, saving us some money from studios, but then things got tight and I had to sell my whole rig.
Four years later, with twins on the way, I’m looking to get back in. Because I know the D70 well and it’s a bit discounted because of age, I want another one. Looking at ebay now. However, I really don’t have the money for multiple lenses. I will basically be taking pictures of my newborn twins and my 4yo son, both candids and studio shots with the lighting equipment I still have (for Christmas cards and whatnot).
Figure I have about $400 to spend on body and lens. Would I be ok with the kit lens, or should I go for a 50mm prime or something? I did love my 50mm 1.8…

5- Celine Luggage Tote:

Ordered my GF a nikon d3000 today because i found a GREAT price. Not 4 minutes after ordering do i find the retailer has pages and pages of complaints ranging from shipping second hand items to telling customers to add accessories and if they dont the company will list the item as back ordered until they do.
FML right
Gonna call them tomorrow and demand they cancel the order before they start processing it.

Is Auto WB on LR as friendly to D700 or D3 NEF files as it is to D300?
I used D50 before upgrading to D300 and auto WB on D50 NEF was useless. I’m wondering if D700 or D3 is any better than D300 in that aspect.
