I cant search guys so help me out if you can. The SO wants a DSLR for xmas, primarily to shoot her reptiles and id probably use it for car related photos myself. I was thinking of a new d3000 or rebel, but now im looking more at getting a used model and saving a few bucks as we arent pros nor do we plan on going too crazy.

I need suggestions as far as whats reliable as far as a used model. Ive been looking at everything from d70’s to mid level rebels..

What does everyone have on their holiday wishlists?

My current setup is:
Canon XS
28-135mm 3.5-5.6
50mm (nifty fifty)
55-150mm 4-5.6

so far I have the following on my list:
Tokina 11-16mm
Tamron 17-50mm
430ex II flash

I need to come up with some items less than $100 for family members, anyone have any suggestions? filters/softboxes/reflectors/etc are all things i don’t have that would be fun to have.
