Used to live in a suburb of Detroit. Love that city…miss it like crazy. Yes I know the economy sucks. No news flash there. Anyway, if you saw the AMA show last night you may have seen Kid Rock’s performance where there was a slide show in the background of images from Detroit. Abandoned buildings, help wanted signs, etc. I want to try and capture the same feel with some shots. I also want to get some "good" things to have a nice contrast. Either good as in "thriving" or good because they are good memories for me. I am just doing this for myself…not a job or anything. So several of the things I shoot will have some kind of personal significance. Old memories, etc. Beyond that, any suggestions? I’m trying to learn…and everyone says "get out and shoot, then shoot some more", so that is what I am doing. Taking advan***e of every situation I can. Plus, it would will make a nice sentimental collection for myself.

I’d like to find some old abandoned auto factories as well
There is an interstate that goes by an old abandoned factory and there is a bicycle on top of a pole…maybe 50 feet in the air. I’m going to try and find that just because it is odd.
