الجزائر : لان ألعاصمه الجزائر تقوم على عده جزر مردومة .

أبو ظبي : لان أرضها كانت مهجعا للظباء .

الأردن : نسبه إلى نهر الأردن والأردن لفظ لاتيني يعني المنحدر وقد سماه العرب الشريعة إي مورد الماء .

بغداد : بغ تعني بالفارسية بستان و داد هو صاحب البستان الذي قامت على أرضه نواة ألعاصمه العباسية . " تفسير أخر يقول إن معنى بغداد عطية الله بالتركية " .

بيروت : اخذ اسمها من اسم الإله الفنيقيه بيروته التي كان مقامها في الساحل الفينيقي .

مسقط : لان أرضها عبارة عن منخفض تحيط به الجبال من كل جانب .

ألمنامه : سميت بذلك لأنها كانت تضم قصرا ينام فيه احد حكامها أو لان اسمها محرف من ألمنعمه .

نابلس : اصل الاسم روماني " نبو فلافيا بوليس " إي مدينه فلافيا الجديدة على اسم الإمبراطور الروماني فلافيوس ومع الوقت تحرفت إلى نابلس
