Friend of a friend joined the SLR crew, and is askin me for support advice. I failed at encouraging a used Gitzo 226. Totally dead set against spending more or buying anything used. 🙁

Anything from Benro, Giottos, whatever else worth a damn for that price? Anyone got a cheepie they’re happy with? Looks to me like you’ve gotta spend about $200 to get a basic Manfrotto rig.

Never posted here before, but I’ve gotten enough hate in the main that I can handle it. Naturally, the first thing I’ll do is ask someone to PS a shot that could have been taken better. If I can make this shot a little better, I want to use it as an example of my work (on teeth.) Unfortunately, she looks squinty. If someone could shop the eyes to look better, I’d Paypal $20. It would have to be on the honor system in regard to whether I liked it though, so do it at the risk of my saying it isn’t what I want.

The lady at Wolf Camera (Chicago) gave me a card for Chicago Camera Specialists in the Loop. They have one bad review on the web. I had excellent experience with United Camera in Bensenville, but I thought I would check with OTAP before going back there. Please let me know if you know of a good Nikon repair shop. Thanks!

Laptop time good 2024.

Since my main ba***s mamma-jamma desktop computer is a PC, and all of my purchased software is PC, i should get a Windows laptop… right?

So what should I get? My goal is $1,200, NOTHING MORE.
Just need something to take with me on shoots, and for travel. Whatever I’d get would be reformatted as soon as I get it to get rid of all the garbage.

What laptop provides the best display?
I HATE the new laptops that have a thick layer of plastic over the screen. Who offers a nicely equipped laptop with an anti-glare screen?

Looking at Lenovo and Dell XPS now :hsd:

تعلم ظ‚ظˆط§ط¹ط¯ الظروف في الانجليزية هو أمر مهم للغاية، بدونه سوف تواجه بعض الصعوبات في التعبير بالانجليزية.

قواعد مهمة:
الظروف الانجليزية هي كلمات تغير أي كلمة أخرى ما عدى الاسماء. الظروف تغير الافعال و النعوت و غيرها. هناك ظروف المكان و الزمان و الكيفية و التردد.

I shot this group a couple months back, local r&b group and they are actually really good. This guy is Maxwell and he is currently pissing his girlfriend off by trying to grow as much beard as he can before 2024. She kept calling him the Amish Asshole all night. :rofl:

Anyway here is a shot that I think turned out pretty well, haven’t done any editing to ignore sensor dust etc.
