A friend of a friend is a fashion designer and asked me to take some pictures for his new website. I just gave him the raw images and decided to edit these myself. We used his company’s grey back drop which was incredibly dirty but I tried to work with what I had. I’m no wizard at CS5 but I tried. What do you guys think?

I’ve been doing some jobs over the last few years and have been always paid using PayPal.

Lately, my income from this hobby has been increasing. Some logo/branding jobs range from $200 to over a $1000.
Most of my prior income (logo contests) was used to buy things online: computers and other equipment so I hardly ever transfered any to my bank account.

But now I have quite a bit of money sitting my PayPal account and want to send it to my bank account to invest in other things. Wouldn’t my bank be suspicious of me sending large amounts of money into my account?

I’m currently registering a business name and making a new website. I’ve been dealing more with local clients and need to start taxing this stuff.
I have actually set aside about $2k just in case I get screwed over later on.

Would anybody be able to tell me how I should go about accounting for all my transactions? Also, if I win a contest (99designs or whatever), how do I go about taxing it?

I just ordered a white diffuser for my flash and it comes with a blue one and a yellow one. I can’t think of a situation that would call for blue lighting, but I bet some of you guys have. Please share some photos that you shot with non-white diffusers. Thanks OTAP!

each year we do a holiday card with our dogs and i figured this year i’d share with OTAP and get opinions.. I feel like the pics also show how much my skills have improved over the years albeit not by much.

in 2024, I used various lights I had around the house and as i learned last year from you guys it is obvious. So this year i borrowed a cheap set of lights and umbrellas from a friend and tried again. This is the only pic from the set i uploaded so far, but i’ll probably put a few more up tonight to get some more opinions and suggestions on what i did right/wrong.. :bigthumb:

After a lot of reading here and other photo boards, review sites, etc. I think i found my lens wish list. I find myself shooting in lots of different situations and would like a lens for almost every situation that i might encounter. They are in order of how im planning to purchase them. I have a Canon T2i. If you have any suggestions on alternative lens please lmk.

1. Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 non VC
2. Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
3. Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM
4. Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

What i have already.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS = kit Lens
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS = rarely ever use

The lady at Wolf Camera (Chicago) gave me a card for Chicago Camera Specialists in the Loop. They have one bad review on the web. I had excellent experience with United Camera in Bensenville, but I thought I would check with OTAP before going back there. Please let me know if you know of a good Nikon repair shop. Thanks!

ارجوكم انا عاوزة حد يفيدنى فى الموضوع دة لأنة مؤرقنى
انا متزوجة من حوالى سنتين ونص بس وبدأت رحلت علاج تكيسات المبايض منذ أن بلغت ولكن العلاج لم يكن سوى العقاقير ولايمكن التدخل الجراحى الابعد الزواج وبالفعل عملت منظار كى واستكشاف وذلك بعد منشطات بالهبل ورجعت التكيسات تآآآنى وكانت نتيجة العملية زيادة كسل المبايض وعمالة اخد منشطات تاااااااانى ولكن بزيادة مخيفة وصلت24 حقنة فى اقل من اسبوع!!
والكل بيجمع على عمل حقن مجهرى ولكن!!!!!
مما سمعتة عن نسب نجاحة الضئيلة واحتمال تكرارة اكثر من مرة فأنا مرعووووبة من العملية!
فأرجوكم افيدونى …أرجوكم

انا ماعرف بس الله يشفيك ان شا ءالله ؤتجيبين صبيان وبنات زي القمر

يا أختي كل إلي أعرفة أن تكيسات المبايض تجي مع السمنة الزايدة
إذا كنتي سمينه لازم تنحفي عشان المبايض تتنشط وتقل التكيسات
وخاصة تبدأ التكيسات في فترة البلوغ لأن الجسم كاكل يتغير من هرمونات وشكل أو يكون سبب وراثي من العائلة

والله يشافيكي ويرزقك بالخلفة الصالحة

بس للعلم ان التكيسات هية اللى لها عامل كبير فى زيادة الوزن ورغم ذلك فأنا لاأعانى من السمنة ولكنى برضة بخس اختياطى لأن التخسيس مهم صحيآ على وجة العموم ولكن أنا خوفى من العميلة ونتائجها كما وضحت سابقآ حتى لا أطيل عليكم فأرجوكم افيدووووونى

Hey guys, I recently moved from NY to CA (drove across, pics to come). I packed my computer in a box along with my clothes but made sure to bring all my externals with me. All my info for LR and all my photos are on my externals so I figured it was the smarter thing to do. Unfortunately when I ran LR all my edits are gone. Even the photos weren’t on there…I had to drag all of 2024 in. Do you guys know what could be wrong? I backed up my catalog into a HD before I left so I can locate it easily
