Hey guys.. I know this isn’t a lightroom forum but I’ve read the sticky and unfortunately most of the links for the presets are dead.

If anyone has recommendations on (or has their own) good presets they would like to share I’d greatly appreciate it.

Also, is it better to shoot in RAW if you’re going to edit the files? Right now I’m just shooting in .JPG format

Is there a way to delete the standard presets? It takes forever to scroll through the list to find ones that I’ve added in (which still kinda suck).

1.) the manual says the AF assist beam fires automatically. I cannot get it to fire. Any ideas?

2.) In Av mode, if I set the flash at +2 and exposure comp at -2, it does not yield the same exposure as if I had them both set to 0. Why is this?

What’s the best technique for shooting at highest flash power in order to use the shortest shutter speed?

Selling my Nikon d80 with 8gb card, body only $425.

Looking to buy the d7000 if its in stock anywhere.

I was thinking of buying a d700 but then I would have to buy new glass.

As for light equipment I want to get a beautiy dish and 2 softboxs, should i go with a paul c buff (since i have a alien bee 1600) or should i get a westcott.

I haven’t used Lightroom in a long time. I have two years worth of pics that I want to organize and I want to make some changes in how I used to do things. Few questions…

1. If I remove a folder from Lightroom, are the keywords and ****data lost? I want to reorganize my library and for me it just seems easier and less of a clusterfuck by deleting the folders and readding.

2. I currently have my library on an external drive. Is there a way to make it so a low quality version is stored in the database on the computer so I can still view web quality pics in Lightroom without having the drive connected?

3. Do you guys have any developer presets that you use a lot that work well most of the time?

Wow so the manual for this thing is MIND NUMBING. Thanks to Jared’s help, he pointed me to the Jrx Studio with the cube.

I figured out how to get my sb-600 to fire and control the flash output.

1) Should I turn the stand-by off on the sb-600? It seems that when it goes in to stand-by, you have to fire a shot on the camera to wake it up.

2) Anything special to set on the receiver/transmitter? I have all dip switches set down. I don’t think I have a need for grouping, and the default channel seems fine.

Any tips/info would be appreciated. Now I have to order some more equipment for my 2nd sb-600 :bowdown:

Who do you all use for a webhost? My site is currently hosted at my house, but my comcast business service has been really flaky for the past week or so. I really think its time to move my site to a dedicated hosting company. I am looking for something that supports wordpress as I may change my site over, and also something with preferably unlimited bandwidth. Not really wanting to break the bank either ;). I’ve looked at Bluehost, 1and1 and Dreamhost so far. Just looking for others opinions :confused:
